THIS WORKSHOP IS A MUST-ATTEND IF:

🖌️You want to capture expressive cat portraits with a fun, easy approach!

🐈You struggle with dynamic poses? Through color blocking and quick gesture studies, we’ll break down anatomy in a way that makes building proportions and expressiveness more approachable.

🎨 You want to learn how to give your digital paintings a traditional feel and build fur, texture, and volume without overcomplicating the digital art tools.

🤝 You thrive on constructive feedback and long for a supportive community to refine your art. Participate in live critiques and small group sessions where you’ll receive actionable feedback from your instructor and peers. I’ll be there during the live session, and afterwards we can stay in touch. I’ll answer any questions you have, and we can tackle them together in a future session too. Let’s grow in a collaborative, encouraging space!

Hi, I’m Alejandra Caballero,

an Mexican artist based in Mexico City.

My journey began in my mother’s tiny art studio, where I spent hours drawing as a kid, surrounded by her artwork, art materials and art books. That early creative environment sparked a passion that’s only grown stronger.

I studied visual arts at La Esmeralda in MĂŠxico City, but much of what I know came from learning online, thanks to generous artists sharing their process. That spirit of sharing is what inspires me to teach today.

I specialize in portraits, especially animals—with vibrant colors, playful backgrounds, and a mix of realism and the whimsical.

My process is intuitive and meditative, rooted in strong fundamentals but open to discovery.

In this course, I’ll guide you through the exercises that helped me most and show you exactly how I create my signature cat portraits, step by step.
