THIS WORKSHOP IS A MUST-ATTEND IF:

🐱 You want to capture authentic feline expressions and bring cat characters to life. Learn how to be bolder with your strokes, convey emotion and personality through the use of color and shapes.

Whether it’s a curious kitten or a grumpy old tom, you’ll gain tools to make your drawings feel alive.

🐾 You struggle with drawing dynamic poses and crave fluid, natural cat movements. Through gesture and instinctual exercises and anatomy breakdowns. You’ll practice building strong proportions and more expressive poses.

🎨  Master digital painting with a traditional feel and learn to build fur, texture and volume. Without overcomplicating the digital art tools.

🤝 You thrive on constructive feedback and long for a supportive community to refine your art. Participate in live critiques and small group sessions where you’ll receive actionable feedback from instructors and peers. You’ll identify strengths, tackle recurring challenges, and grow in a collaborative, encouraging space.

Hi, I’m Alejandra Caballero,

an Mexican artist based in Mexico City.

My journey began in my mother’s tiny art studio, where I spent hours drawing as a kid, surrounded by paints and art books. That early creative environment sparked a passion that’s only grown stronger.

I studied visual arts at La Esmeralda, but much of what I know came from learning online—thanks to generous artists sharing their process. That spirit of sharing is what inspires me to teach today.

I specialize in portraits—especially animals—with vibrant colors, playful backgrounds, and a mix of realism and bold, expressive strokes. My process is intuitive and meditative, rooted in strong fundamentals but open to discovery.

In this course, I’ll guide you through the exercises that helped me most and show you exactly how I create my signature cat portraits, step by step.
