Hi, Iâm Alejandra Caballero,
an Mexican artist based in Mexico City.
My journey began in my motherâs tiny art studio, where I spent hours drawing as a kid, surrounded by paints and art books. That early creative environment sparked a passion thatâs only grown stronger.
I studied visual arts at La Esmeralda, but much of what I know came from learning onlineâthanks to generous artists sharing their process. That spirit of sharing is what inspires me to teach today.
I specialize in portraitsâespecially animalsâwith vibrant colors, playful backgrounds, and a mix of realism and bold, expressive strokes. My process is intuitive and meditative, rooted in strong fundamentals but open to discovery.

Creating expressive art starts with knowing what inspires you. In this section, youâll learn how to build a visual catalog, create mood boards, and gather references that actually spark ideas.
